For a Coexistence with the More-Than-Human: Making Biomaterials from a Philosophical Perspective
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
This paper can be accepted as it is.
Author Response
We have improved the paper, adding more images and focusing more on the two laboratories' practices and the overall methodology.
Reviewer 2 Report
The philosophical discussion is articulate and well referenced.
The section discussing the practical work needs clearer identification of its aims, the phases of work and their outcomes. When discussing methods, an outline of the structure of the project and its aims would help clarity.
Line 186: the first applied phase is mentioned, but no further phases are referenced. Please ensure clear signposting and consistency of phrasing.
Line 241: is this the second phase?
Line 261: ‘Skin of nature’ is first mentioned on line 261 without introduction- is it the title of a part or all of the project?
Line 189: biohacking practices: clarify term for all readers
Line 255: Paragraph beginning line 255. the descriptions of the gloves and other artefacts are made to sound like verified attributes. How have they been verified? If these are speculative scenarios, please make clearer.
Line 262: Does this refer to people of the imagined future scenario? Please consider rephrasing for clarity.
