Materials and methods:

line: 170 said: an innovative municipal SWM business model [31] is proposed..... If is innovative I think is something new, but there is a reference [31] is then innovative or was improved some methodology.

Results and discussion

The estimated population of Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, is approximately 258 2.6 million [20]. The city’s estimated MSW generation is 1534 t/d, with an average house-259 hold waste generation rate of 0.59 kg/c/d [38]. The current municipal solid waste (MSW) 260 generation and composition for the city are depicted in Table 1.

It seem be more part of materials and method and no results. Similar phrases in found in all manuscript

There is little or no comparison with other works that applied some model to treat the same problem.

The authors did an interesting work for waste management. This work is vital to improve waste management economic efficiency. There are some comments to improve this manuscript as follows..

1. The working loadings are a lot. But the novelty is not clearly stated, please highlight your contribution to make sure the readers can easily get it.

2. In 3.3, it uses estimation tool for GHG emissions from Japan. Does it require correction factor when applied in Pakistan?

3. For cost analysis, did the authors consider the construction and operation cost? Please make it clear.

4. The results and discussion section should be enhanced by comparing with other works, this will definitely enrich your study.

5. Some figures with world-wide novel research should be described and discussed with more details to emphasize the state-of-the-art-review all over the world novelty.

6. In line 287, what is economic potential? What is the data source? Please give more details.

7. The quality of some pictures needs to be improved, such as Figure 2/4/8.
