Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This scientific work treats and methodically analyzes quality management and supply chain of shrimp depots in three localities in Bangladesh (Paikgacha, Dacope and Chokoria). To do this, it used interviews, investigations and direct observations. Between February and May 2022, this work made it possible to assess 57 shrimp depots, unevenly distributed in the three localities, in terms of supply, treatment, storage, product management, traceability, etc.

This work has expressed the weaknesses and improvements to be made to promote sustainability and the practices responsible for the shrimp industry in Bangladesh.

However, for the representativeness of the sample, the choice of these three localities must be explained or justified for the reader, and we can even present the general map of all the sites and justify the choice of these three localities. This information can be shown in Figure 1.

Secondment, it's worth simplifying figure 2, by presenting a single form per entity. but we can mention the number of individuals per entity into the form between brackets, for example. It's also missing a legend to give meaning to the different arrows and their different forms (punctuated, continues; ...).

Third, I recommended you use the textures instead of the colors in the figures (3, 4, 5 and 6).

Finally, unless I am mistaken, the total of depots examined in Table 5, is not always equal to 57. This is the case for 'Areas of Concern': 2, 4, 8, 10, 11 and 13. does-it normal? please verify end rectify them if necessary.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

1.In Bangladesh, what is the output value of the shrimp industry chain? What is the ratio in the industry? How has the development changed in recent years? Among them, what is the proportion of warehousing in the shrimp industry chain? If there are relevant statistics, I suggest that the author present these information in the introduction.

2.In lines 70-72, the journey towards sustainability in shrimp depots is fraught with challenges. Inadequate infrastructure, substandard working conditions, and sanitation issues plague many depots, Are there any specific statistics data or proportion about plagued depots?

3.In the lines 88-93 of Material and Methods, The study was carried out between February and May 2022 on 57 shrimp depots across three locations..., As a sample, these shrimp depots should be representative. I want to know that How were these 57 samples selected? In other words, why these 57 shrimp depots? Also, why only 57 samples were selected. The overall feeling is that the sample size is small.

3.about the 57 shrimp depots, How are these shrimp depots classified? What is the difference in their capacity and so on?

4.In the lines 120-129, this article mentions the large depots and small depots, What is the basis for the classification of small warehouses and large depots? I suggest that the author explain this standard in the section of materials and methods, and give the exact standard.

5.The paper points out that there is relatively little literature on quality management practices in the shrimp industry in Bangladesh. What impact do you think this lack of research in understanding shrimp depots operations might have on the sustainability of the shrimp industry in Bangladesh? Is there any research in other fields that can provide useful enlightenment for the quality management of shrimp depots?

6.About the management of shrimp depots in Bangladesh, I think the lack of standards is an important issue. Therefore, in the discussion part, the author can give more specific suggestions. For example, it is very important to formulate corresponding standards, such as the size of the warehouse and the standard of materials used, the transportation standard of shrimp, the standard of ice, and so on. In terms of violations and violations, the task also gives specific suggestions, such as the introduction of targeted penalties.

7.In the current discussion section, a lot of the content is from the results, and I think the author can simplify it to make the discussion look more concise. On the other hand, as I pointed out in the fourth point above, the author can add a more targeted suggestion to the discussion.
