Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The energy transition from carbon-based energy sources to renewable energy sources is one of the main objectives for both states and companies in the short and medium term. The aim of this article is to propose a methodological pathway for the implementation of the energy transition in Colombian SMEs, based on the analysis of the climate change and energy transition programs included in Colombia's development plans. The manuscript is logically clear and well-written, and is recommended for publication after minor revisions.

1. The introduction section is too verbose and it is suggested that it be streamlined.

2. The last paragraph of the introduction should highlight the innovation of this paper.

3. The literature review section should summarise and condense the shortcomings of previous work to highlight the importance of this work.

4. If the data in figure 1 are from the literature, a citation should be added to the title of the figure.

5. The discussion section cites a large number of literatures, while the authors' own insights are slightly lacking, and it is recommended that they be strengthened.

6. The conclusions suggest streamlining and focusing on the innovative aspects of this work.
