Comments and Suggestions for Authors

There are numerous studies regarding CEOs, CFOs, Directors, etc. v ESG, but very little is known about CTOs. Interestingly, they can be key players and decision makers, so it is important to analyze their inclination and influence on ESG performance.

Compared with other published material, considering CTOs characteristics and tying them to CSR performance is NEW.

The sample is sufficiently large but of course an even larger pool of respondents with a verification and double checking mechanism for their replies would make the paper even better.

The references are appropriate.

This is an interesting submission regarding a conventional topic. It needs to be appreciated that many factors are considered to assess the impact of CTO characterics and that critical comparison is developed and relevant references used. The selected methodology is acceptable, the used sample sufficiently large. I would appreciate a deeper and more developed discussion, in particular about what features and characteristics make CTOs to be more pro-Research and Developement and to be more pro-ESG. Further it would be nice to read more about the overlap and synergy of ESG and RD (innovations) and approaches of CTOs to it.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Dear authors, thanks for submitting the manuscript entitled CTO Characteristics and ESG Performance of Corporation : Evidence from Korea. The paper aims to research the role of CTOs in integrating ESG considerations into technology development and operations.

To meet the objectives of the paper a comprehensive literature analysis was done and the primary data was collected to develop the overall conceptual model of the CTO characteristics and ESG measurement. The results of the implemented analysis have important theoretical, practical, social, and policy-making implementations.

Based on the abovementioned, the paper is well-developed, written, and novel, and contributes to the relevant literature.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Article "CTO Characteristics and ESG Performance of Corporation : Evidence from Korea" is performed at a high research level. She describes an interesting case of the implementation of ESG policies in Korea with original author's conclusions. The only thing I would like to recommend to the authors is to refine the visualization and graphics of the article, because at the moment the quality of their visualization does not correspond to the level of the journal.
