Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The proposed model should be compared to other existing models in the literature. It should be compared  in the introduction section and more important in scenario analysis.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The presented research proposes an electric vehicle game model considering green energy utilization. The title is topical and of potential interest to researchers worldwide. However, the manuscript should be revised to eliminate the following flaws:

1. Subsection 2.1.2 presents formula (1) to evaluate a driver’s utility for purchasing a gasoline vehicle. However, explanations are needed.

2.      The manuscript does not contain the mandatory sections “Results” and “Discussion”. Therefore, the research outcomes are doubtful.

3. To avoid the above-mentioned comments, I recommend merging subsections to the sections “2. Research Methodology”, “3. Results”, and “4. Discussion”.

4. Moreover, the authors should clarify the scientific novelty in the applied research methodology and the obtained results. A comparison with other studies is also needed.

Overall, the manuscript can be reconsidered after taking into account all these suggestions.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors need to define the various parameters used in the various equations presented in the study.

In the Introduction, the authors should provide a more current reference and statistics about the average curtailment rate in China. The Data from 2017 and 2018 are not current for 2023 (except this is not available).

Though the authors have proposed a model based on price difference, this is not well articulated in the manuscript.

In the scenario analysis, the authors have mentioned that "China has implemented a series of government policies to promote the development of electric vehicles, including subsidies, emission reduction targets, fuel economy standards, and more". Can the authors provide a reference(s) that discusses these policies?

What is the source of the data for the other parameters in Table 3?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This study represents the first comprehensive depiction of the impacts of price differentials and battery costs associated with Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology on car owners, businesses, and society as a whole, with a particular emphasis on the integration of green energy. A game theory model was constructed around these price differentials, alongside electricity and oil prices, leading to the development of a user utility model designed to pinpoint the optimal vehicle mileage and driving decisions. The study further explored the potential maximum profit scenarios for companies selling traditional and V2G-enabled electric vehicles, finding the most advantageous pricing strategies and subsequent user adoption rates.

The model is comprehensive and accounts for the varying perspectives and interests of consumers, electric vehicle manufacturers, and societal benefits, offering a novel framework for future research. Additionally, the study delves into the repercussions of price discrepancies and battery costs when electric vehicles participate in V2G systems, making comparative assessments of the benefits for users, businesses, and society at large.

Since I am unable to clearly comprehend these equations, I suggest that it would be beneficial to gather more specialized comments.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept of Vehicle-to-Grid electric vehicles using a game model that takes into account various factors, such as user behavior, electricity prices, batteries and maintenance, etc. In addition, the authors make a comparison with classic Battery Electric Vehicles, and also describe conditions based on the obtained models under which the use of Vehicle-to-Grid electric vehicles will be more profitable for both households and corporate players. Overall, the article is well written and accessible. Proofs of the theorems are given, and there is also an example of how the model works based on real data. Mostly recent literary sources are used.

The main note is that not all notations used in the above formulas are explained in the text.

In addition, prices in Table 1 are given in $ and, if I understood this symbol correctly, then in cents. It would be great to bring everything to the same dimension

In Table 1, in the Fuel price line, there is a problem with a reference to a literature source.

The text, if I understand correctly, states that the service life and number of recharge cycles of the battery are 8 years and 2000 cycles, respectively. Does this data take into account the fact that the capacity of lithium batteries tends to decrease significantly during operation?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In this paper, the authors presented the Optimizing Electric Vehicle Integration with Vehicle-to-Grid Technology: The Influence of Price Difference and Battery Costs on Adoption, Profits, and Green Energy Utilization. The manuscript is scientifically proven and analyzed very briefly. For further modification, some queries are listed below.

Minor:

1.      The abstract should be modified.

2.      The selection of keywords for this paper should be refined. Use 5 keywords and semicolons according to the MDPI format.

3.      Use proper references for all the equations. The numbering in equations should be in arranged order.

4.      All Figures are not clear.

5.      The font size should be the same for all the Tables.

6.      Please check the manuscript once again and polish the language.

7.      The subsection should be bold.

8.      The author should refer to the paper below in the introduction part, to strengthen the manuscript. https://doi.org/10.3390/en16104049, https://doi.org/10.3390/en15103754, https://doi.org/10.1109/ASET56582.2023.10180772

Major:

1.      why is electrical energy storage considered crucial for enhancing the efficiency of green energy utilization and achieving sustainable development?

2.      The authors should also add the novelty statement of this work. This is important as it could highlight to the reader the importance of this work.

3.      How does this paper address these limitations by introducing the concept of adoption rates to reflect user choices and comprehensively considering stakeholders, including users, electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, and societal benefits, in the context of V2G services?

4.      how do factors such as price difference, electricity prices, fuel prices, mileage utility, green utility, and operating costs contribute to determining optimal pricing, user adoption rates, and maximum profits for enterprises?

5.      How do the components of the driver's utility function, particularly the mileage utility and operating costs, impact the decision-making process for purchasing a gasoline vehicle, and how does the inclusion of these factors contribute to the differentiation between the traditional gasoline vehicle choice and the BEV choice in the proposed model?

6.      Your conclusion provides a concise summary of the key findings and implications of your study.

I recommend that this manuscript be suitable for publication in the sustainability_ MDPI after considering the revision.
