[1] This article presents a potentially important subject. The key equations need to be elaborated to verify its robustness.

[2] Page 7, after Fig.11: Is “K-band” a typo?

[3] Figures 13, 14, 15: Please elaborate the importance of velocity on the reflective surface of EM wave.
How does this velocity affect the ISAR imaging?

[4]  Eqn.(13): Please elaborate how the plasma velocity is involved in the extra time delay. Please draw a schematic if necessary.

[5] Eqns.(15)-(18): Please elaborate these key equations of this work.

[6] Eqns.(19), (20): Please elaborate how they are derived.

[7] Figures.17, 18, 19: Please show or indicate the physical range in the horizontal axis.

The authors investigate the electronic density and velocity field distribution in the plasma sheath around a hypersonic target in ISAR imaging. The presentation of the research and the analysis is quite detailed, and the paper just needs the following improvements to be considered ready for publication:

1. It seems a few recent related works like https://doi.org/10.1109/TPS.2017.2755723 and https://doi.org/10.1063/1.5127054 have been left out in the discussion.

2. The results seem to be derived exclusively from simulated data. Is it possible to obtain some real data and present the analysis on that as well ?

Authors performed manuscript on “Influence of plasma sheath’s velocity field on ISAR imaging of hypersonic target”.

Experiment performed is interesting however its presentation must be improved. The structure of the manuscript fits rather for proceeding standard. Please reorganize manuscript.

Presentation is not clear. Is an experiment simulated or observed? Please clearly point it out.

Lines 75 - 85 Please provide comprehensive introduction. Why introduction context is positioned e.g. in section 2? Is that on a random basis? Please reorganize it.

Line 75 - What is RAM program? Please clarify

Line 88 - Please provide data used in details. E.g. Tab. 1 does not present data in details. What mission is that? Please clarify.

Line 91 - What is RAM-C project? Please clarify.

Line 146 - What is RAM-C II project? Please clarify.

E.g. Lines: 91; 124;128; 157; 254 - Please provide full list of references. Parts of the manuscript which are compiled should be clearly referred.

E.g. Lines 102-103; 107; 310- Style of writing is also strange. In whole manuscript authors compare figures (and use them as an objects) but not a context of the figures. This is incorrect, please present the scientific context of the paper correctly.

Line 231 - Section 4.1 What is traditional target, please clarify.

Line 236 - μ expressed as…and….

Line 241 - …expressed as y

Line 243 - Is that the second case? If so, should be positioned in another section.

Line 249 – Should be new section.

Figs. 17, 18, 19, 22 - Please make a correct captions (e.g. fig.17 - what is a, b, and c, please clarify)

Line 390 – this is not clear, please clarify.
