Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is dedicated to a review of ship collision avoidance algorithms using remote sensing technology and game control. The author provides a mathematical description of a process game for the safe driving of a ship, state and control constraint variables, acceptable ship tactics, developed multi-criteria optimization operations, algorithms for ship collision avoidance and their verification results obtained with the help of simulations. The paper is mostly written well. The results obtained are new, interesting, and valuable for the field. The results are clear, but their discussion should be provided in section Discussion, which should be organized in the paper. The paper also needs some corrections before its publication.

Corrections suggested.

1. Please, improve section Introduction in accordance with the journal recommendations:

“1. Introduction

The introduction should briefly place the study in a broad context and highlight why it is important. It should define the purpose of the work and its significance. The current state of the research field should be carefully reviewed and key publications cited. Please highlight controversial and diverging hypotheses when necessary. Finally, briefly mention the main aim of the work and highlight the principal conclusions. As far as possible, please keep the introduction comprehensible to scientists outside your particular field of research. References should be numbered in order of appearance and indicated by a numeral or numerals in square brackets—e.g., [1] or [2,3], or [4–6].”.

Please, extend section Introduction providing subdivision of references [1–13] for groups of appropriate game-theoretic methods and their short description.

2. Please, move Algorithm 1 and 2 to appropriate Appendix 1 and 2 in the end of paper.

3. Please, add section Discussion and provide deep discussion of the obtained results.

4. Please, provide the future research plans outline in Conclusions.

5. Please, add an appropriate link for all arXiv references like you provided it for reference [4]:

‘4. Singh, S.K.; Reddy, P.V. Dynamic network analysis of a target defense differential game with limited observations. arXiv 2021. https://doi.org/10.48550/arXiv.2101.05592.’. Otherwise, you should provide a link for its download, e.g., ‘https://arxiv.org/pdf/2101.05592.pdf’.

So, the paper needs minor revision.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is related to ship collision avoidance algorithms using remote sensing and game control. The topic is interesting to the academic community. In order to enhance the article quality, I suggest the following remarks be taken into account:

1.       Please highlight the elements of the novelty.

2.       The author are encouraged to indicate their contribution to the development of the ship collision avoidance algorithms using remote sensing and game control.

3.       How are wind and wave disturbances taken into account. Please refer to literature, for example, as:

-   Gao, Q.; Song, L.; Yao, J. RANS Prediction of Wave-Induced Ship Motions, and Steady Wave Forces and Moments in Regular Waves. J. Mar. Sci. Eng. 2021, 9, 1459.

-   Borkowski, P. Numerical Modeling of Wave Disturbances in the Process of Ship Movement Control. Algorithms 2018, 11, 130.

4.       Please mark the vectors in bold.

5.       It is good idea to add a few sentences about future analysis.
