Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The authors proposed a new method to maintaining elevation datum using CORS stations. The method was described in details and an example in Beijing was discussed. The results show the method proposed in this paper may be a usefull technology in the future. Thus, I suggest this paper to be published with minor revisions.

(1)Figure 1 should be redrawed, as given by the reviewed manuscript.

(2) The acronyms, such as GH, NH should be written in dull when they appears at the  first time.

(3)The quality of figures 3-9 should be improved.

Minor editing of English language required.

Author Response

1. Figure 1 has been redrawed as given by the reviewed manuscript.

2. Suggesition about acronyms has been applied.

3. Quality of some figures has been improved, while some not with no idea.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper presents an intricate analysis with wide imagination. To what extent the loadings can affect the geoid has been attempted. With CORS getting more and more in use in even in the developing countries, this paper is very relevant to readers in this area. Few more references and discussions may be added in the introduction section. Authors must explain what is 'white noise' for the new readers and beginners in this area. This is a good study while the method proposed has to be validated in universal conditions.

English is okay while only at some places sentences may be improved but overall it is acceptable.

Author Response

  1. Some references and discussions have been added in the introduction section.
  2. Some about various style of noise in CORS has been introduced.
  3. Due to the confidentiality of regional elevation data, it is not possible to conduct large-scale universal validation within a short period.

Reviewer 3 Report

If the authors had included a comparison of similar works by other writers in terms of statistics and accuracy, this manuscript would have been better.

More comparisons with other methods are needed, and it should be explained what makes CEEMDAN special.

The manuscript's phrasing has to be changed, though. It is also important to check the references included in the work.

Only 3 keywords, suggest increasing it to 4-5 keywords

Need to add conclusion statement in abstract.

Only 3 references from 2018 and above, please add more recent references.
