Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The manuscript remotesensing-2474536 entitled “Glacier change and its influencing factors on the northern slope of Kunlun Mountains” is important to take emphasis the investigation of glacier change and its influencing factors in the specified study area. The manuscript is written with a good scientific base, hence, considering some minor revisions the manuscript is suitable for publication.
Abstract
1. Line 13:” …… and so on” either list all or remove such deferred sentences in the abstract section
Materials and Methods
2. In this section, the words data and date are interchangeably used
3. It is expected to have a methods section for the factors that leads to changes in the glacier volume, area, and length. You mentioned temperature, elevation and precipitation as row data, thus, methods used to interrelate the change to these factors shall be included.

Reviewer 3 Report
The manuscript “Glacier change and its influencing factors on the northern slope of Kunlun Mountains” by Niu et al. Used three glacier inventories in China to survey glacier changes in Northern slope of Kunlun Mountains. The content of this research and method are general. It is good written and organzaition. Thus, I have to suggest that minor revision is needed before articles can be released.
specific comments
Line 130 Figure 1, Is there kashgar in research region?
Line 158 what are the roles of Those images?
Line 240: Yarkand->Yarkant
Line 276 Figure 4 I would suggest x axis in this figure could used log
Line 297 why did author select the G078658E35262N and others? Why did authors not select surging glaciers?
Line 364 Figure 8 Kashigar river basin should be deleted.
Line 382 Figure9 the R is too little.
Line 450 Figure 12 when is area change?
Line 518 this paragraph is senseless. There is no link between glacier change and climate change.
