Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Once in a while, I review a paper that is very polished. This is one of them. Even though no major breakthroughs or novel information is presented, it provides a snapshot of the current state of affairs with testing. I would have my students do exactly this work before they go and design a study. As such, this paper can save many research labs time.

Reviewer 2 Report

I think the paper is an interesting review of the literature and the goal of the paper is clearly stated in the title and in the background. I think the authors have followed the international guideline (PRISMA) for this kind of study and that they reported the results in a well-structured way. I have only a few comments that could be taken into consideration:

  • could you please report the search key used in order to improve the replicability of the study?
  • have you evaluated the quality of the studies included? for example, if a scale was used only in weak studies it should be taken into consideration
