check the font size of paragraph?? across contaminated plants have significantly improved our knowledge on plant responses to biotic stress (Figure 3). In this process, chlorophyll fluorescence is measured as an incident light factor on plant leaves, and variations of the fluorescence parameters is used to examine the response of pathogenic pathogens to changes in photosynthetic system and pathways of photosynthetic proton transport [15, 16, 42]. Temporal and spatial differences in chlorophyll fluorescence had been studied using this approach for successful detection of pathogens with powdery mildew and leaf rust in 470 nm in wheat leaves [42]. This technology can be used for sugarcane leaf disease identification, quick identification of photosynthesis anomalies; however, the practical use of this technique is limited in field settings [72]. |
The font size of the paragraph is checked and formatted:

Try to minimize the repetition of same author references many times. Check the limitations of same author citing.
|
We understand the limitations of same author citing at the same time we could not find alternative authors reference to support the content in the text. We have tried to minimize the repetition of same author references where possible. |
Reviewer 2 Report
As I previously mentioned, it is a great literature compilation that you have accomplished. However, the manuscript remains a little difficult to understand due to the way it is written in English. Some sections do not make sense and would need to be carefully rewritten. I would suggest again to proof-read it with native English speakers. I have pointed out those errors and suggestions. I did not see a major improvement since the last version.
Best regards

Consider re-organizing the sentence: Although the disease in the sugarcane field occurs at early stage in sugarcane plants, it is difficult to identify the disease symptoms at that stage. |
The sentence is rephrased as: Usually disease occurs at early growth stages and symptoms are often difficult observe (cite). |

Are these your pictures, if not, please cite them. |
Yes, All the pictures in Fig. 2 were taken during our disease survey and pathogen identification study. These are the typical symptom of Red rot disease of sugarcane. |

Consider removing this sentence: This is laboratory-based methods involving the service of trained staffhence; detailed sample arrangements and skilled data analysis are also needed. |

Was this image created by you, if not, cite it! Figure 4. Thermal images of (a) healthy palm (b) basal stem rot (BSR)-infected palm. When the images used the same scaled, it is clearly shown that temperature of the leaves taken from BSR-infected palm are higher than the healthy palm. |
Yes, these images in Fig 4. were captured by one of the co-author in her original research. |

348-349 |
Change to something more general like: it requires small amount of nucleic acid in the bacterial cells and PCR should be performed before the testing process |
The sentence is rearranged as: it requires small amount of nucleic acid and PCR is often required before continuing to the downstream analysis. |
356-357 |
365-366 |
I would avoid sayings, and include literature about how cultural practices have been focused on prevention, and cite examples in plant pathology.
As the saying goes, “prevention is better than cure”. Opting for healthy cultural methods as a preventive measure should be of utmost priority. |
The sentence is rephrased as: Opting for the good agricultural practices and integrating cultural and biological control methods as a preventive measure should be of utmost priority |

Reviewer 2 Report
Please find per-line comments in the attached PDF document. In summary, this manuscript looks relevant to the field, given that there is not a comprehensive review of this pathogen. However, an extensive review will need to be done to improve the English in the manuscript. I have highlighted many errors and difficult to understand sentences. I would suggest that you proof-read with English speakers/translators or similar before submitting the new version.

Use connectors to justify why you determined that it is "very important" to identifify......
|
The justification of the statement as:C. falcatum causes huge sugarcane yield loses every year. Till now there is no effective method to control fungus because of genetic make of this pathogen changes continuously. So more variation observed of this pathogen. If we identify the extent of pathogen diversity and the way infection occurs it is easy to develop an effective disease control method against this fungus. |
