Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article is relevant and timely. The paper is straightforward, well-written, and well structured.

Notwithstanding this, I think the Authors need to add interesting and useful insights to the paper to improve the quality. I find particularly interesting the discussion and conclusions from this aspect, so please expand these sections.

Figures and tables are not complete, informative, and clearly presented, so my suggestion is that improve all illustrations in the paper, especially the first figure.

Also, think about the picture of the Zingiber officinale Roscoe plant or similar.

3.2. Z. officinale EO composition – please expand this section. You have really big data in Table 1, while the discussion is minimal.

The same comment for section 3.3.

Reviewer 2 Report

The authors present in their work the concise results obtained in studies with essential oils obtained from Zingiber officinale against phytopathogens fungi from the Fusarium genus, studies performed in various countries like India, Brazil, Egypt, Mexico, Cameron,  Egypt, Nigeria, Romania, Thailand in period (2004-2020).
The paper is well written and concise, and the information presented in table form is suggestive, complete, and correct, being easy to read. The table  presents with accuracy the information regarding  the main compounds from essential oil used in the study, MIC/Inhibition rate, the method used in microbiologic studies, Fusarium species used in studies, positive and/or negative control used in the studies
The paper presents interest for scientists from the field of plant protection,  and sustainable agriculture and also for scientists from medicine, that because the essential oils represent huge potential. Future directions of research are presented in conclusion, in connection with potential applications of essential oils derived from Zingiber officinale in sustainable agriculture, most of them obligatory for certification of new products. For this reason, I recommend the publication of this article.

Reviewer 3 Report

In the paper Biological activities of Zingiber officinale Roscoe essential oil against Fusarium spp.: a promising tool for biocontrol - A minireview, authors report several studies concerning phytochemistry and biological activities of Zingiber officinale as Fusarium spp. plant-based biocide.

The minireview is interesting, I suggest minor revision.

Introduction
The conventional treatment of infectious plant diseases caused by Fusarium estab lishes the use of synthetic fungicides, but the adverse effects on environment and human  health bring out the requirement to develop safer solutions. Essential oils (EOs) have re ceived attention from the research community in order to develop biodegradable andplant-based fungicide [7,8].

Please emprove thi introduction aspet.
In detail, authors can  be report that EOs were use in several aspect for example in food preventtion.
In this context add reference suc as Flavoring extra-virgin olive oil with aromatic and medicinal plants essential oils stabilizes oleic acid composition during photo-oxidative stress. Agriculture, 2021, 11.3: 266.
