Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is an analysis of "Assessment of land consolidation" and "greenhouse gas emissions" related issues, which is an interesting topic. My recommendations for this paper are as follows: From the results of this study, land consolidation has an improvement effect on greenhouse gas emissions. This conclusion is very clear and is a good research result. Here I would like to ask a question, that is, when different agricultural cultivations use different machinery, do the results of this study have different degrees of effect? Therefore, I would like to suggest that the author provide data in this regard, which will make The results of this paper have more academic value.

The manuscript is well written and has originality and significant content. My only concern is about the presentation of data (figures and tables). All figures and tables need revision in order to make them more attractive to readers.

The abstract should be more about presenting key results. Please modify the abstract.

the Introduction a bit long and disorganized, the importance of the GHG emission reduction, the possibility of reducing GHG emissions in farming activities,  should be shorted. As a suggestion, maybe it could be better to start from general content to the importance of the LC.

the mehod part is too long, and I suggest the authour move some text to supplementary material (for instance the section of 2.5 should be shorted).

the figures 2 &3  should be re-built, clean-appearance.

Some of the results are repeated in the discussion section, and some short sentences has been used as paragraphs. A deep revision of discussion section is needed (for example, line 501-504, line 520-524).

some special issues

full stop occured before the brackets for references.

line 46. CO should be CO2
