Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

I revised the manuscript "Classification of monofloral honeys by measuring electrical impedance based on IoT neural networks" submitted to the Agronomy journal. The manuscript is interesting. However, I have some concerns which need to be addressed before considering for final publication.

Specific comments:

1. Section "1. Introduction". In this section, I suggest describing in more detail the possibilities of using ANN and determining the significance of variables in the model. For ease of use, use the reference - https://doi.org/10.3390/land10060609.

2. Subsection "2.3. Neural Networks to Sorting". This subsection should be more detailed.

3. Section "3. Results and Discussion". You must add more information about the ANN models generated in this section. This is an important part of the manuscript and has been addressed marginally. In addition, more references should be added to discuss the results. Compare your results with those in other papers.

4. Several sections are missing at the end of the manuscript: Author Contributions, Funding, Conflicts of Interest etc.

Reviewer 2 Report

In the resented work, a novel approach is provided for classifying the type of honey directly from the complex impedance data with a neural network. The article is well written, however, the Authors should address the following:

Pages 1-2, Provide more literature in the introduction section.

There should be no empty rows between paragraphs.

Use dot instead of comma for the decimal numbers.

Page 4-5 use the term Lavandula or Lavender not bout them.

Page 5, line 182, state producer, country, and city for DAD2.

Page 6, Figure 2, is it possible to represent the frequency sweep range in some other way rather than the print screen?

Why the results of PCA analysis are not presented?

Page 6, line 207, state how many repetitions ANN was performed and what were the activation functions.

Page 7, Figure 3, just write unit I the bracket don’t state in Ohms

Page 8, there are two tables named 3b, I presume this one is table 3c

Page 10, lines 307-309,” However, other studies have contrasted conductivity versus color values,

concluding that honey with the highest conductivity have a lighter color, and on the contrary, darker honey has lower conductivity values.” Specify the studies, and provide the references.

Page 12, additional information is missing such as Author Contributions, Conflicts of Interest etc.

Thoroughly English check is needed.
