This paper explored the capability of monitoring the growth status of winter oilseed rape (OSR) using NDVI and NDYI from UAV images. The study area is the Salzdahlum, Lower Saxony, Germany. The background is well introduced. The methodology is clearly presented. The result is thoroughly presented and discussed. The English writing is good. Only several minor points need to be addressed and improved.
Have you tested or compared other vegetation indices? I would like to see a brief discussion about the potential impact of other common vegetation indices, like EVI, VCI, and NDWI.
Another concern is the reusability of the proposed method. Considering the cost of UAV images, is it possible to reuse and scale the method on the public remote-sensing-based vegetation index data set (for example: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41597-022-01565-2)?
