Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear Authors,

your study presents a quite well planed and conducted tests on DPC application. Description is also well prepared. But the scientific soundess is low due to the unspecified aim of the study. What is your aim in scientific sense? What new knowledge do you want to get?

Wow do you understand the word (and how should I understand) "feasibility"? Its a keyword of the aim of the study but not defined.

Which information would you like to get? And how is its usefulness? Please define it, discuss and conclude. If you don't, your conclusion won't be scientific, just a mere observation.

Could you provide photos of tested plants?

Please describe shortcuts and symbols used in the text.

Provide the same scale in fig. 4 in Y-axes.

Dear reviewer

Thank you for your comments concerning our manuscript entitled ” The effect of new nano - DPC drip application on cotton agronomic traits”(ID: agronomy-2356339). Those comments are valuable and very helpful. We have read through comments carefully and made corrections. The responses to your comments are presented following.

Question1: Wow do you understand the word (and how should I understand) "feasibility"? Its a keyword of the aim of the study but not defined.

Re: We have revised the related content and use a more accurate discussion to replace the term 'feasibility' in the manuscripts.

Question 2: Which information would you like to get? And how is its usefulness? Please define it, discuss and conclude. If you don't, your conclusion won't be scientific, just a mere observation.

Re: Our conclusion is that nano-released DPC worked better than the ordinary type in terms of plant height, plant width, degradation in soil, and boll formation.

Question 3: Could you provide photos of tested plants?

Re: We have provided photos of tested plants in figure 3.

Question 4: Please describe shortcuts and symbols used in the text.

Re: We have provided shortcuts and symbols used in the text and in the note of related figures and tables.

Question 5: Provide the same scale in fig. 4 in Y-axes.

Re: We have provided the same scale in fig. 4 in Y-axes.

Please tell us, if there are any questions.

Yours sincerely,

Shan wei Lou
