Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Report on the manuscript titled ”Theory and Modelling of Isotropic Turbulence: From Incompressible through Increasingly Compressible Flows” by Claude Cambon. The topic of this manuscript is of a great interest to atmospheric  communities. It provides sufficient background and relevant references. The  methods  and  results are adequately and clearly described in the manuscript.  Therefore, I recommend the publication  of this  manuscript in Journal ”Atmosphere”.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

A very nice review of several topics on the spectral modelling of homogeneous turbulence and the interplay between nonlinearity and linear effects. There are only very minor formatting issues. The qualities of some figures could be improved. Otherwise all good.
