This study aims to analyze anthropogenic droughts and the changes provoked to the stability landscapes of the streamflow system of the Rio Grand River basin.

The topic is interesting. Still, some issues should be addressed.

Please follows the template for References. The names of the journals must be abbreviated and the ISBN of the books must not appear. s, INSTITUTO POL ITÉCNICO NACIONAL should not be written only in capitals. The online articles must be followed to the link where they can be found.

The introduction is well written, emphasizing the novelty of this approach. Still, it would be recommended to refer to other fields where the proposed methodology has been used to give the reader an idea about the extent of the method's application.

The overall manuscript is well written and has discussed the drought incidents during the era of the Anthropocene. The Abstract is clear and concise. The literature review is sufficient. The methodology is well explained. The study area and corresponding data are discussed. Results seem reasonable and may be replicated by readers.
