Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

  1. Table3 lacks the Mineral composition data of B1.
  2. Table6 lacks the contamination factors and pollution load index values of TE data of R1.
  3. lacks geoaccumulation index assessment data of TE in sediments of R1.
  4. Table7 lacks the potential ecological risk assessment results of TE data of R1.
  5. Table 8. lacks the ecotoxicity results of R1, R2, R4, R5, R6, B2, and B3 for the sediments samples using D. magna.
  6. Table 9. lacks the ecotoxicity results of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, B2, and B3 for the bay sediments samples using Scenedesmus quadricauda
  7. Part of the references were not new enough. The authors need to update the references.

In my opinion, this article can be published in this journal if the authors explain all the unclear parts and offer enough new data and new references. Also, the authors should recheck and correct the errors of typos and grammar before sending out this manuscript. By all the aspects enumerated above, the author should make a rigorous revision of the paper before its publication.

Reviewer 2 Report

Please add the aim of the paper in the abstract as also the mathematical results of the used indices. Please repeat the TE abbreviation in the Introduction. There is a lack of hydrogeological conditions description. There is no commentary on selected indicators in the article. Why were such measures used, what is the relationship of one indicator to another. Why were such parameters taken into account? How to ultimately evaluate individual parameters in relation to AMD.
