Reviewer 2 Report

The main focus is given for analyze land management efficienty of land use

As case study are for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao-Great Bay Area (GBA)

research is based on the Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Trade-offs (InVEST) model to assess the habitat quality based on land use data obtained from remote sensing images from 1980 to 2020. Thats a nice analyze for long time.  As datasource taken land use data for every ten years, social economic data with density of populations and DEM data for analyze the coastal territory

As methods used: Analysis of land use change, . Landscape index, Habitat quality assessment mode, Quantitative analysis of the impact of urbanization

As results presented: . Land use change characteristics every ten years, Land use change from the perspective of landscape indices, Characteristics of habitat quality changes in the context of urbanization and Habitat quality response to urbanization factors

Discussion part is clear and possible to understand main goals from research to give main focus optimizing urban land management.

Conclusion show recommendations for governments
