Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper proposes a very interesting and actual topic, with huge relevance for the transition of our society to sustainability. The paper has a very clear storyline and a consistent conceptual and methodological framework. There are only a few small corrections, required to make the message more clear. First, the discussion section has to point out the major findings and their relevance for international audiences. Second, the Conclusions have to be a more direct approach, skipping messages that are not related directly to the paper results (especially the first part).  Also, a limitation of the study is related to the sampling structure, that it is more oriented to the Western view of the world.

Reviewer 2 Report

The main idea of the research is really interesting and important.

The Introduction could be improved. It is not clear what is the exact purpose or aim of the study and it does not fot with the part of Conclusion. The aim described is not fulfilled.

Results are not so clearly desribed as it should be - connected with the low interest of readers. It is not clear why are the results so important for the society and what can we use the results for. How can we implement those findings?

Conclusion is too general. Could be improved and to show the need of this research and the need of implementation of findings, where, when, how?
