The Symmetry Editorial Office retracts the article titled “A Perception Study for Unit Charts in the Context of Large-Magnitude Data Representation” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding concerns relating to the major scientific errors, the overall validity of the findings and accuracy of the Data Availability Statement presented within this publication [1].
Adhering to our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and Editorial Board which included an evaluation of the raw material provided by the authors. While the authors fully cooperated with the investigation through the provision of raw material and clarification of the availability of the raw data, the Editorial Board were unable to satisfactorily verify the integrity of central findings of this study based on the presented raw material. As a result, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board decided to retract this article as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30, accessed on 16 May 2024), and in line with the committee on Publication Ethics retraction guideline (https://publicationethics.org/retraction-guidelines, accessed on 16 May 2024).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Symmetry.
The authors agreed to this retraction.
