Decision Optimization for Water and Electricity Shared Resources Based on Fusion Swarm Intelligence
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The paper ‘’Decision Optimization for Water and Electricity Shared Resources Based on Fusion Swarm Intelligence’’ presents interesting application of the MOPSO algorithm. The paper is written very well and has enough contribution to be published in ‘’Axioms’’. However, hoping to assist the authors in their research efforts, I provide several suggestions for improving the presented work:
1. In the paper, explain why you used the MOPSO algorithm and not another one.
2. Introduction
- In the introduction, give an announcement and description of the following sections.
3. Section 2.5. and 2.6.
- It would be more clear if each expression was declared beforehand and the variables described after it.
4. Section 2.10.
- In Figure 1, check the direction of movement of the activity (process) in the algorithm that refers to the penultimate activity (process) in the ''NO'' decision.
5. Section 3.2.
- Renumber the Tables. There is already Table 1. in Section 2.4.
6. Conclusions
- In the Conclusions, state the advantages and disadvantages of the applied methodology, as well as directions for future research.
7. References
- Expand the list of references with about 10 more recent references from the period 2020-2022 and better define the scientific contribution based on them.

Dear authors,
the problem that you consider is interesting and worth to be studied. I suggest a major revision due to the following points:
- there is no section considering the literature review regarding the problem. Why did you introduce a new model?
- the code is not available
- remove the dot for the product in the formulas
- res, ci, day, num I would suggest defining as set cardinality.
- Split table 1 in parameters, set cardinality, and decision variables.
- Please add the total formulation of the model.
- which kind of model is it? Is it linear? Is it possible to solve the model with exact solvers as gurobi?
Best regards

Dear authors,
in my opinion, the paper is ready for publication. If you think that it makes sense I suggest you add a small sentence at the end of your work stating that your solution can be embedded in a DSS as done in the following references:
