“Please check english language style and use software for detect porcentage of plagiarism”

Thank you for this suggestion.

We ran the text through the Grammarly software which detected some style discrepancies which were corrected, when appropriate. About 4% of text was similar to online sources and 10 similarities were pointed out. When checked, the similarities referred to the text in the Methods and to the common statements requested by the journal.

The text in the Methods is changed and is marked in track changes.

The other text, being a part of the standard statements, was not changed. For example:

Under Funding, the requested text by the funding agency reads: “The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of NIMHD.”

Under Conflicts of Interest: “The authors declare no conflict of interest. The funding agency had no role in the design of the study; in the collection, analyses, or interpretation of data; in the writing of the manuscript, or in the decision to publish the results.”

There were also a few similarities within the References which were also left as is.

Reviewer 2 Report

The study shows that lower life satisfaction and inflammation in terms of C-Reactive Protein in elderly and middle-aged American Africans who attended the churches could be mediated by body mass index and hip circumference along with waist circumference in female subjects.

The recruitment of participants and procedures were appropriate throughout the study. Six-month intervention study could be sufficient to detect changes from baseline data. The laboratory test was performed by using a standard lab test which was decent.

The results of this study could be useful for precision medicine approaches in which a specific treatment could be utilized to suit an individual patient.

Although the study exhibited the limitations such as a small sample size, however, the author provided a proper explanation of the issue.
