Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Overview

This article experimentally investigates the effect of using Ionic soil Stabilizer to stabilize the glacial till and its influence were studied by conducting  Atterber limits, CBR Test and material structures seen at the micro level. This research provides valuable information on the abundant available material of the state and an eye-opening on the effective usage of glacial till. This article can be further improved by addressing the following comments.

 Comments

1.      Discussion sections are adequate and the trend of results can be correlated with the earlier studies of various protection measures.

2.      Conclusions are numbered following the results of the research. It would be better for authors to reflects on these tests results and give some practical recommendations of this study.

Reviewer 2 Report

Dear Authors,

In the present paper, you present an experimental study for the analysis of the mechano-physical properties of Glacial Till Stabilized by Ionic Soil Stabilizer. You propose a solution to improve Glacial Till through an original method that increases the properties of this type of soil.

As week elements

The abstract should be expanded. It has less than 200 words and is not suitable for the editorial requirements of the journal.

Abbreviations are not recommended in the abstract. Please insert in the text the abbreviation used F1- Ionic Soil Stabilizer.

Figure 3 - please set on ordinate the ”Liquid limit” on the red scale and the blue scale to remain with plastic limit. As is represented is a little bit confusing.

Figures 8 and 9 can be reduced to fit in the page format.

The conclusions can be a little bit more extensive.

As notable elements

With over 50 bibliographic references, with experimental tests appropriate to the research carried out but also with microstructural and macrostructural analyses. You managed to demonstrate that the proposed solution is a good one that makes the properties of the soil much improved and therefore can be used in such situations.

I appreciate the ten SEMs, which are suggestive and self-explanatory.

Kind regards,
