Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsDetailed comments
Line 75. Ambiguous markings. Line 76 states that "? is the characteristic length attached to the LIM, which represents the total armature length". However, in Figure 1, L is the length of the machine in z-direction.
There is no explanation for the Az designation in equation (1) and (2). There is no coordinate system in Fig. 1. In my opinion, it is needed to clearly indicate the directions x, y, z. It is needed to determine the directions of the Az component of the magnetic vector potential A (concerns equation (2)), to indicate the direction of action of the forces described by the relationships (9.a), (9.b ) and components of the magnetic flux density vector B - relationship (7).
Line 141 – Eq. 3 does not describe the vector magnetic potential A or the magnetic flux density vector B.
Table 1. Design parameters of the Lim. Why does the relative permeability of the back iron have the unit H/m?
Overall assessment
In my opinion, the analysis of the influence of the number of pole pairs is carried out correctly. Table 1 shows that the thickness of back iron is 5 mm and does not change. As the number of pole pairs decreases, the magnetic flux density in the back iron increases. In a real system, this leads to a significant saturation of the back iron, and thus to a reduction in flux, a change in the distribution of eddy currents and a reduction in thrust force. This may lead to incorrect conclusions regarding the influence of the number of pole pairs on the motor parameters. In my opinion, a comparative analysis is necessary when the thickness of back iron changes.
To summarize, there are no significant novelties in the article (the calculation methodology used is known, available FEM software was used). The approach to determining functional parameters is interesting. The conclusions resulting from the calculations are obvious, and the obtained results are unreliable due to the fact that non-linearity and the significant impact of the three-dimensional magnetic field distribution on the motor parameters are not taken into account.
There is also no experimental verification of the proposed LIM analysis method.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsTitle: About Space Harmonics Effects on performances of linear induction motors: Modelization and Characterization
Remarks:
-Motivation and objectives of work is not clear. Why this study is needed?
· -Literature review is not strong enough to justify the objectives.
· -Do not use abbreviations in abstract.
· - Page 2, line 75: equation number is missing.
· -Line 340: Increasing the pole pairs number … as an induction machine. What is the mechanism behind this phenomenon.
· -Do Authors compare these findings with experimental one?
· -Section 5.3 (Effect of Electrical Conductivity) should be rewritten with scientific explanations.
· - There are several grammatical and phrasing mistakes. Please revise the manuscript thoroughly.
· -Graphic quality of figures can be improved.
· -What authors think about other optimization methods for this study?
Comments on the Quality of English LanguageThere are several grammatical and phrasing mistakes. It's difficult to understand several sentences. Please revise the manuscript thoroughly.
