Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Authors in this manuscript present a droplet manipulation device using ultrasonic waves to constriction a monodisperse emulsion. Paper is interesting. My basic comments and corrections are as follows.

Abstract: Abstract is too short. Please add two or three sentences in abstract session.  

Line 209: Why do you use 2.25 MHz frequency? Is it a resonance frequency of the piezo ceramic? Does the applied frequency effect the experimental results?

Line 77-87:What type of piezoelectric material have you used in your experiments. Please give details information about it.

Figure 5, 6 and 7: I think they are the pictures under the microscope. Are not they?  Please put the enlargement factor of microscope pictures. You have such a scale factor in figure 14. Put scale factor to other figures as well.

Introduction: Introduction is also too short. You should enrich the literature survey with increasing the number of references that you mention.

The present manuscript deals with the emulsion generation using microchannel device and pieozoelectric vibrator. The article is very interesting however need further polishing before acceptance. Following comments are helpful.

(1) As authors said similar work has been reported previously (ref 1-4), what are the novelty aspects ? This need to be mentioned in the abstract. 

(2) Some more details of the piezoelectric vibrator and amplitude and frequency of the piezoelectric vibrator need to be mentioned. 

(3) Fig 14a, and b seem to be not very convincingly presented. Authors need to show a magnified image. 

(4) Is there any vibration frequency and amplitude dependency on the emulsion droplet size?
