- A thorough clinical examination, including extra-oral head and neck examination and intra-oral soft tissue examination, should be carried out by all primary care dentists when seeing any patient.
- Patients with known oral potentially malignant disorders should be followed up longitudinally with clinical photographs to aid accurate documentation and monitoring.
- A list of high-risk clinical features and social factors associated with oral potentially malignant disorders and oral malignancy should be established specific to the population of the KSA.
