The topic of the submitted manuscript is interesting. The results are useful for researchers and policy makers. I have a few comments and suggestions. The abstract and keywords of the article are very often a source of interest in further reading the article. Therefore, the innovation and novelty of the article should be emphasized in they. Please  indicate clearly the importance of this manuscript and the added value of this manuscript in in the abstract. Not only in introduction, where the author was pointed very good  this added value.

The article contains a good discussion of the results with the findings of other authors. However, I would suggest relating the results of the study to the results of the earlier study : “Direct Payments and Sustainable Agricultural Development - The Example of Poland” of Sadlowski et. al. in Sustainability, 2021, vol. 13, nr 23, s.1-20 due to the similar thematic scope of the two studies.

Please remove the space between the end of the sentence and the beginning of another (line L163)

I suggest that in the paragraph dedicated to the explanation of direct payments, the equivalence of the value of payments in a general monetary unit, such as Euro (EUR), keeping the original value.

Please insert paragraph on line L284, also for L297.

Please split the discussion and conclusion section.

I recommend a detailed presentation of the research question and hypotheses.

The aim of the manuscript was to examine the impact of the Green Environmental Payment Program on farmland prices in Taiwan. Authors estimate the OLS method and SCM model to evaluate the average and heterogeneous effects of the policy. The policy increased farmland prices, particularly on larger farms and urban farms. Research in presented area specially in relation to Taiwan is quite important. I consider the conclusions in the manuscript to be original. I did not find any serious shortcomings in the work or presentation and ethical problems. I evaluate positively references used in the manuscript. In my opinion, the Abstract and Keywords are consistent with the content of the article. In conclusion, I can state that after studying the article.
