In my opinion, this paper entitled “A short review of flower strips as a useful tool for crop protection and increasing biodiversity in the cultivation fields”may be interesting for reader of Agriculture Journal. Nevertheless, there are some items that should be addressed before acceptance:

Comment 1: No need to write 2 times same affiliation (i.e. 1 &2)

Line 76-78; rewrite the whole sentence

Line 87; change the word warn

Line 100; Reframe the sentence; sentence should not start from thanks

Line 191; add species name also

Line 200; Figure 1. Written two times

Line 200-202; cross check all genus and species and also all scientific names are in italics

Line 225; Halictidae i Andrenidae) delete i

Line 230; A similar correlation was observed by Albrecht et al. 230 [36]. No need of this line

Line 242-243; “For example…… or shrubs.”. Rewrite

Line 291; (own observations, 2022) no need of this

Line 342; Calendula officinalis L Correct it by adding full stop. Calendula officinalis L.

The writing could be improved by strengthening the connectivity between paragraphs. There are several places where new topics are introduced and connections to the previous subject are not clear. Read whole manuscript and correct wherever required.

Introduction:

The introduction does not clearly state the purpose of the research – please amend.

Conclusions

The conclusions are too general. Please make them more specific.

Consequently, the title is misleading, improve the title

Carefully read whole manuscript line by line and improve the sentence formation

Cross check all references and style of reference according to Journal format, the references are not organized in terms of  Journal format.  Reference 1, 4, 6,7,12, 16,19,24,33,51,55,

Figure 3(a,b) improve legends clarity

All over the manuscript many different concepts are presented but not well linked each other. Many times, result difficult to understand the purpose of a sentence in the context of the paragraph.

Carefully read whole manuscript line by line and improve the sentence formation and typo errors.

Overall it is a great review, the authors did their best to compile the information even though it is a niche topic

Before discussing the advantages of flower strips, please explain what is a flower strip

Please make a table of suitable species for flower strips and their uses, this will help the readers.
