Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The review topic has its own kind of importance. This article carries well organized and compiled diverse information of research on Stevia and Steviol Glycosides. It could be useful resource for the researchers working with Stevia.

The English language is okay though but of course it can be improved. The databases consulted are authentic and the methods of retrieving literature from the databases seems appropriate.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript "Exploring plant tissue culture and steviol glycosides production in Stevia rebaudiana (Bert.) Bertoni: A review" is of great importance, because it's devoted to very popular plant, used in dietary nutrition. The manuscript provides the most comprehensive review of the properties of Stevia rebaudiana, its secondary metabolism, and cultivation methods. I consider this manuscript worthy of publication, but I have some advice for the authors:

It's better not to divide chapter 6.2 into subsections.

7.2.4. Are mutations a physical factor? It’s better to use “mutagenic effects”.

Line 552 Check the spelling mistake “…is synthesized from…”

Line 644 Check the spelling mistake “…Signaling Pathways…”

It would be useful to add to the review the methodology for the determination of SG using high-performance liquid chromatography.
