Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Minor spell check required, ex "war" for "was", specially "Agilofings/Agilolfings"

Reviewer 2 Report

This is aa well-researched paper, clearly organized, and making some helpful points about the use of monastic brotherhood lists and associated lists for corroborating early medieval history. The use of manuscript pages and the accompanying charts was helpful, though the resolution of the manuscript pages limited their effectiveness. (However, the URL was given to go directly to the original image if the reader wished to.) There were some minor problems with the English:

. 146 - und instead of and

155 - und instead of and

241 and often - in the USA it is usual to say Charles Martell, not Karl Martell.

line 272 - instead of very use vary

286 - instead of instated use installed
