Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

As underlined by thr author/s, the paper investigates the role of social network  services (SNSs) to exchange information in real-time in case of Natural disaster.

Basically, the paper provides an interesting research approach and the results are well presented and discussed. From a different perspective, more effort is suggested with reference to the theoretical framework. At the state, the literature review does not provide a clear conceptual framework with reference to which the research has been developed.

With reference to this latter point, I would suggest to consult consolidate literature about models and processes for information sharing and users' approach to information technologies for knowledge shating. In such a direction, please consider the following references among the others:

Reviewer 2 Report

This is a good paper and very suitable for the journal. The abstract summaries very well the paper. The introduction is supported by a sufficient number of international references. The structure of the paper is proper, except the shortcoming presented below.

I have some minor improvements to suggest:

  • the paper mentions that an ontology is developped. While there are many diagrams, I would welcome one on ontology.
  • a section on discussion is lacking and unfortunately the conclusion also falls short. I suggest to either extend the conclusion with a discussion or include a separate section. This should discuss for example how ontologies which are typical for web semantics analysing texts can be used in this related context, along with the other already identified discussion worth items.

If these are addressed, I am looking forward for the publication as an enrichment of the journal and valuable reading to replicate in other areas of the world.
