Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article is not only of great scientific value, but also practical, because the research has been carried out on several real road sections, where different types of pavement and pavement structures are laid.

Both modified and unmodified bitumens have been used as binders for the development of pavements, as well as sedimentary rock dolomite and magmatic rock granite as a mineral material.

However, it would be good to indicate the main characteristics of the used aggregate , such as LA, FI, etc., if available.

The study is properly structured, correctly chosen methodology and analysis, as well as accurate and clear conclusions.

Reviewer 2 Report

The sufficient field testing data and the testing data analysis such as the statistical analysis of the influence factors were conducted in the current version of the manuscript, and thus I think the mansucript can be considered for acceptance. However, I have some technical comments and suggestions to the authors to further polish the manuscript: 1) The literature review is only focus on the statements of the facts and the findings from the previous studies but limited to the research gap analysis, which will be useful to support the current study topic; 2) A Google Map screen is necessary to demonstrate the real locations of the testing points; 3) I suggest the authors could try to improve the quality of the figures, the current figures such as figures 4 and 5 is not sufficient to present the differnece of the difference roads or lanes.

Reviewer 3 Report

This manuscript presented a very interesting study on the long-term service performance of asphalt pavement in Vilnius. However, it seems to be premature and needed to be revised thoroughly.
1. Introduction part is rather confused. Please re-write the whole section and focus on your research background.

2. Many references were not relevant. For example, reference 18. How the "self-healing mechanism..." connected with "remaining service life...analysing the bearing capacity"? Please carefully check all your contents.

3. Please add one figure to show the exact position of LLRWP, LLT, ULRWP, ULT, LLLWP and ULLWP. It is rather confused about all the details.

4. Lines 195-197: How to make sure the strain measurements were conducted under the lowest and highest temperatures?

5. Please re-write your conclusions. This section should be focused on your real findings and conclusions.
