The Coatings Editorial Office retracts the article entitled “Improving the Structural, Optical and Photovoltaic Properties of Sb- and Bi-Co-Doped MAPbBr3 Perovskite Solar Cell” [1], cited above.
Following the publication, concerns were brought to the attention of the Editorial Office regarding the scientific accuracy of the data presented in the published paper [1].
Adhering to our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted by the Editorial Office and the Editorial Board, which confirmed inconsistencies within the XRD data presented in Figure 1 [1]. Despite access to the raw material, the Editorial Board could not verify the validity or integrity of the XRD data. As a result, the Editorial Board has lost confidence in the integrity of the findings and decided to retract this publication [1], as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30 (accessed on 4 June 2024)) and in line with the Committee on Publication Ethics retraction guidelines (https://publicationethics.org/retraction-guidelines (accessed on 4 June 2024)).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Coatings.
Author Muhammad Iftikhar Khan disagreed with this retraction. The other authors did not provide a comment on this decision.
