Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe article addresses a highly topical issue applying a sound scientific approach, obtaining solid and relevant results. However, due to the rapidly changing nature of AI, it is difficult to keep the content up to date (as the authors correctly state when pointing out the limitations of their study). Hence, in this context, one might wonder whether it is not unwise to talk or “recent” studies referring to an article published in 2021 (such as in p. 17, l. 581)!
On the other hand, the article is quite long, and, in some passages, it is difficult to keep up the attention of the reader. Yet, I understand that it is the editor who should decide on the convenience of reducing the extension. This being said, I consider the article is worth publishing.

While the PRISMA 2020 guidelines and PICO framework are appropriately cited, the exclusion criteria for document types (e.g., conference proceedings) lack justification. Given the rapid evolution of AI, excluding grey literature and conference papers risks omitting cutting-edge innovations and industry-specific insights. Please consider including high-impact conference proceedings to ensure coverage of emergent trends.
The search period (2018–2024) may exclude foundational pre-2018 studies critical to understanding AI’s historical evolution in business contexts (e.g., early neural network applications). Please extend the search period to include pivotal works from 2015–2017 or explicitly justify the 2018–2024 timeframe.
While ethical considerations (Section 5) are discussed, the paper lacks actionable frameworks for implementing ethical AI in SMEs or low-resource settings. For example, how can SMEs adopt fairness-aware algorithms without extensive technical expertise?
The organizational challenges (Section 4.1) emphasize cultural resistance but do not address hybrid workforce models (e.g., human-AI teaming in decision-making).

The manuscript is a review article. I noticed there are structural problems and some content issues. As it is a review paper, please follow the suggestions below and revise the manuscript accordingly.
1. The manuscript title does not align with the type of review paper. It is suggested to modify it by adding a specific objective after "business innovation." This will enhance clarity and better reflect the content of the review.
2. Lines 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, and 14 require correction. The abstract should be rewritten without using subjects like "We" or "Our." Additionally, it is important to create connecting paragraphs that flow smoothly rather than being broken and disjointed. “Our focus encompasses AI applications in product and service innovation, operational efficiency, decision-making enhancement, and customer experience personalization. We also address implementation challenges, ethical considerations, and organizational implications”, “This review serves as a valuable roadmap for researchers and practitioners navigating the complexities of AI-driven business transformation, highlighting opportunities for future research and providing insights for effective AI adoption strategies.”
3. The research question should be included in the methodology section rather than the introduction.
4. The authors must write an introduction that effectively presents their research and clearly outlines their main objectives. Additionally, they should provide more detailed information about the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in driving business innovation across various industries.
5. I noticed that the author's primary focus is not the methodology. The author should clearly articulate the scientific method used in the research. Please revise the text to avoid unnecessary verbosity and ensure clarity.
6. In Table 5, the author explains AI innovation in various countries without providing sources or references. Please include appropriate sources to support this information.
7. Please rewrite the Conclusions section; it does not adhere to scientific writing standards.
I appreciate that the authors' figures and flowcharts are well-drawn; however, the manuscript has significant issues with its main content. I hope the authors will pay more attention to revising it carefully. Good luck to them!
