Dear Editor and Reviewers,

thank You for Your valuable time and useful contribution You have put into assesing our previous version of the manuscript entitled „Factors Participating in the Occurrence of Inflammation of the Lips (Cheilitis) and Perioral Skin”.  We have the consideration to each comment as follows:

                           REVIEWER 1

Title: Factors Participating in the Occurrence of Inflammation of the Lips (Cheilitis) and Perioral Skin This review paper aims to summarize the factors precipitating cheilitis and inflammation of the perioral skin. The authors divided the types of inflammations of the lips according to their reversibility, as reversible, irreversible, and those which are connected to other systemic diseases/dermatoses. The manuscript also shows the complexity of perioral dermatitis, and the difficulties of its treatment.   The topic is relevant, many patients suffer from diseases like cheilitis and perioral dermatitis, and it can be difficult to treat and achieve permanent therapeutic success. However, there are several major and minor issues, a few of them is listed next and also below.

- Both in the Abstract, in the Background, and in the Conclusion sessions, the same sentences can be found -sometimes - in the same order. We could find the same content with the same meaning in these parts, but the authors should remarkably rephrase, and change the order of the words and the sentences to increase the readability of the manuscript.

Thank you for yoour observation! We corrected the text and changed these parts to be different on various places.

-In addition, initially the manuscript emphasizes the reversibility of the studied disease, as the main principle of grouping. However, later on, the authors show the different etiologies without any mention of their linkage to reversibility. It would be favorable and help the understanding of the topic to group the various diseases according to the aforementioned or any other principles.

We added more information on this topic and changed this part, based on the literaturre data.

-Furthermore, grouping the clinical pictures into combined Figure boxes would also help the paper's readability.
We changed their presentation and these pictures. We grouped the pictures according to specific subject.

  - The choice of subject is excellent. However, the concept of the grouping of these diseases needs further discussions.

Thank you! We corrected some parts of the text and added more data on this subject (this classification of cheilitis) to the text.

-The manuscript also needs extensive and very thorough revision for English language and grammar.

We corrected the text - it was corrected by a native speaker who checked all text.

     Major and minor issues:
- Page 2 line 55: “contacnt”, please correct it .

Thank you for your observation! CORRECTED!

- Page 2 line 59-62: please clarify what is difference between HSV infection of the lips and herpes labialis

Thank you for your observation!  CORRECTED! It was typing error, because it is same term/meaning.

- Page 2, paragraph 2: please include into the listing of the provoking factor infections (e.g. herpes), as thereafter first you mention herpes simplex infection

CORRECTED! It is included in a new version.

- Page 3 line 76: please clarify if perioral dermatitis is the only type of periorificial dermatitis.

CORRECTED! We explained the difference between these words/terms.

- Page 3 line 102: it is gratifying to mention Demodex to some extent, however it would be favourable to explain it in more detail, as this is one of the most important provoking factor in perioral dermatitis.

Thank you for your observation!   We explained it in the text.

                                                REVIEWER  2.

Dear Authors: I have some issues with the manuscript:

-1.You claim it to be review. But what kind of review? A narrative one or systematic? I actually cannot see any methodology and therefore would call the paper as narrative one.

We added that it was narrative review to the text..

-2.English corrections are necessary. Moreover, multiple misspellings were visible.

We corrected English  - it was checked and corrected by a native speaker in a new version.

-3.The origin of the photos. Did you take them yourselves? If yes, did the patient agree to publication? If not, were they were taken from?

Yes, we took the photos of our patients (took by ourselves ) and they agreed with it – we had their consents

.                             Thank You again!

                             Sincerely,

                             Authors
