Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The article is well written and clear and as such could be accepted. Just please avoid lumping references as much as possible, e.g. 3-9 and similar. Instead summarize the main contribution of each referenced paper in a separate sentence and/or cite the most recent and/or relevant one.

Reviewer 2 Report

The article analyzed the advantages of the new “Industry 4.0” control and power supply protection system over classic de-centralized systems. Particular attention was paid to developing communication systems and integrating process control and 13 protection systems.

The structure of the manuscript is well. The topic is very interesting. The manuscript has some of its technical merits. It falls into the Journal electronics. However, several questions may need to pay attention to:

  1. There are some typos in the paper. It is suggested that the manuscript be submitted after carefully checking.
  2. In section 1, the authors have not cited enough literature to support your point. Recommend the authors read enough recent literature on your topic. When the authors stated, “the majority of articles are focusing mainly on smart factory, databases, Internet of Things and other aspects of cloud data processing,” the authors just list [3-9]. It needs to be divided and give enough description.
  3. In para 3 and 4, section 1, the authors used “Chapter” instead of “section.” Please keep consistent with each other.
  4. In section 2, there are three types of Topology of the direct connection between the controller and the supervisory system DCs. Could you please list their differences and commons in one table? It will be better.
  5. In Figure1-3,there is one underline on ”Legends.” Please remove it.
  6. In section 3, the author state, “Modern energy distribution systems….. concepts of Industry 4.0.” When listing items, the end of items should use punctuation “;” not “,”.
  7. In section 4, line 191, “figure 3” should be changed to “Figure 3”.
  8. There are many images in very low Pixel. The authors should provide the high pixel image in Figure 12-15.
  9. The paper lacks discussion after giving results. The authors should point out the disadvantage of the system or the comparison of enough previous literature.
  10. The conclusions are very common. Recommend the authors explore the analysis results in brief and give several valuable points for engineering.

Hopefully, this will help in the revision of the manuscript.

The paper need to be improve and tell what is new in this paper.  The speed, selectivity, protection coordination etc.

Please give us t-I characteristic diagram (plots of used IED protection relays for different location of the faults) at busbars in panels at the motor connection to see the is it well coordinated.
