In this paper, the authors propose using an improved ILS method to solve an allegedly acquisition problem of satellite-ground microwave link ranging of the China Space Station. This work could be of interest in the area of signal processing, the application of the proposed method is relevant. 

Please consider the following issues prior to publication:

 

Figure 1.  Consider placing the units between brackets, instead of using slash "/", since it could be confusing. 

 

Figure 2. It is important to consider uncertainties, specially for the two plots in the bottom of the figure, since there is a significative spread of the data. In the text add a discussion on the type of uncertainties present in the data and how to quantify such uncertainties.

Figure 7 and Figure 8. Consider instead of showing photographs of the equipment, to present a blocks diagram or some kind of diagram ilustrating how the signal is processed/analyzed through your system. Usually photographs are only meaningful to the author.

Figure 10. Again, add uncertainties to the data points in the plot. Discuss in the text how to quantify such uncertainties.

The topic is interesting. In the introduction, there are many statements missing references. The authors proposed a "weak signal acquisition technique based on the iterative local searching strategy." Please see my review comments.

 Comments

1.      Please look at the attached file, which shows mistakes like typos and bad formatting.

2.      The equations are not cited. It is uncertain whether the author obtained all equations.

3.      The references are primarily old; contemporary ones are fewer.

4.      References are poorly arranged, and some of the references are not found in the format specified.

5.      The way the proposed algorithm is written makes it hard to understand.

6.      The acquisition success probability calculation procedure is missing.

7.      In Fig. 11, the authors can add other acquisition techniques for understanding the performance of the proposed technique.
