Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper presented here describes the use of a neural network to implement an adaptive FIR filter. While the topic is interesting and interesting, the presented paper needs to be improved. In particular, the paper lacks a demonstration of the performance of the created filter in terms of interference mitigation. Furthermore, there is no comparison with other known adaptive filter structures.

The paper's introduction needs rewriting. Not only does the English language need to be improved, but also the content of the introduction. It is quite chaotic. IIR filters are described then suddenly it appears that the authors are using FIR filters.

The abbreviation ADALINE is written ADAline ADALINE Adaline. This needs to be standardised.

The assumptions of the paper are correct, but the authors have not explained what the novelty of their approach is.

Table 1 is unreadable

There is a lack of demonstration of the operation of the presented filter in action. In removing some type of interference the authors write about in the introduction. Furthermore, there is no comparison with other known filtering methods.

Reviewer 2 Report

In this manuscript, reconfigurable architecture for noise cancellation in acoustic environment using single MAC Adaline filter was studied. The study is interest to readers.

However, there are some problems in the manuscript.

1.      Font size in Figures including Figure 1~ Figure 8 are too small and poor for read.

2.      Format of Table 1 and Table 2 should be improved for readability.

3.      More experiments of noise cancellation in acoustic environment are necessary in this manuscript.

4.      Complete spelling necessary for the “MAC” in the title.

I suggest to revise the paper to make it proper representative of the presented work.
