The paper elaborates the issue of describing circular arcs in cadastral systems taking into account the area of land parcels. The paper elaborates previous research done in this matter and builds up from there, taking into account mainly the semantic part of this problem. The presented methodology is appropriate and results are well documented.

The authors claim that this solution can be easily implemented into existing cadastral systems. This is not supported by appropriate analysis of existing cadastral systems and the consequences changing the way how circular arcs could be converted in the model suggested by the authors.

In certain cadastral systems, the area of the land parcel is not a legally binding value. Is therefore for such systems an advantage to convert to the suggested model of circular arc representation?

The paper would benefit from having an overview of how circular arcs are described in existing cadastral systems in Europe and beyond. This should be not only from the technical and semantic point of view, but also the legal point of view. As this might involve quite a lot of effort, the suggestion would be to include this matter in the conclusions and as future research activities aiming at the actual implementation in real world situations in different cadastral environments. This would require to adapt the text, especially in the part related to the implementation and use in practice (introduction and conclusions).

Thank you for the comments.

The guiding idea of the article was the guidelines contained in the INSPIRE Directive (2017), where a linear description of the borders of cadastral parcels is recommended. Although in some systems the parcel area is not a legally binding value, according to the authors, this may change in the future. The unchanging parcel area is closely related to ownership (e.g. in terms of taxes).

The proposed amendment has been introduced to the text of the article (Conclusions). It will also be used in our future research, because - we are planning to continue the research on this topic.

Besides cadastral systems, this paper has a great significance in various environmental issues, such as physical planning, management of natural phenomena, etc. The paper is well organized in terms of introduction, related work, contributions, evaluations, and conclusions. All the sections are well described in a formal yet understandable approach. It is clear that the research method and results are scientifically presented. This proves the scientific significance of the paper.

Here are some minor corrections and suggestions:

Text from the line 47 to 77 is in Italic? It should be corrected to normal. Line 56: add (PWLA - PieceWise Linear Approximation). Line 58: add (RSDP - Reduced Search Dynamic Programming). Suggestion: once again check your English with a professional whose native language is English.

My recommendation to the authors is to review and improve the overall format of the document (spaces between lines, size of the fonts within the figures, overall text format, among others) in order to totally comply with the template. Moreover, please consider to put the tables in a separated page to improve the distribution within the document and, therefore, will be easier to read. Finally, the equations could be impoved for an easier understading.
