Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This is a typically classic economic analysis research, with a reseach question under current background. I think its results have application for wider range of developing countries.

I don't have qeusition, only reminding the authors to check the section title "3. literature review" and "3. Methodology".

Reviewer 2 Report

The article is well-developed, so I was very happy to read this interesting manuscript. The study's context is given in the Introduction, and pertinent sources are discussed in the literature review.

The only areas I would recommend for  improvement are:

1. An academic article should clearly reflect on the research questions it asks and their context.

2. The data analysis methods are acceptable, however, the Authors should offer more details about the methods.

3. The Conclusions of this empirical article could be improved by adding additional information and propositions for future research.

4. There are brief mentions of the theoretical contributions.

5. The managerial implications are not explained.

6. Limited ideas for future research are offered based on the findings of the paper.

All the best to the Authors in their future academic endeavours!

The performance analysis of the privatisation of SOE is restricted to financial ratios, the performance analysis of efficiency must be extended to further dimensions, see Clifton, J., & Díaz Fuentes, D. (2022). How do State Owned Enterprise Multinationals behave abroad? A Multi-dimensional framework for analysis. Journal of Economic Policy Reform, 1-15.    It is also relevant to examine the FESPET performance outcomes in different stages in the process of corporatisation of SOE : Clifton, J., & Díaz-Fuentes, D. (2018). The state and public corporations. In Handbook of the international political economy of the corporation. Edward Elgar Publishing.
