In this paper, the authors consider a bioreactor in which two species are competing for a single essential growth-limiting nutriment by including a virus that affects only the first species in the competition. The mathematical model proposed in this research is a subset of a model from the literature when only two species and one virus are considered, but in this article, they consider a general monotone functional response. For general growth rate functions, the authors present an analytic study of the existence and stability of steady states.
I'd like to suggest that the manuscript be published in Mathematics, as long as the authors make the following changes:
- It would be great if the authors could add more to the abstract by looking into the results in more detail.
- Introduction: In paragraphs 4-6, please combine or reduce some sentences to highlight the main idea of this section—the reasons for the foundation of bacterial competition in a continuous reactor in the presence of a virus model and methods used analysis it, for example, there is no need to elaborate on the topic of each article; just list some of them.
- Please check Figure 2. I think the "X" in the green compartment should be "S".
- The term "bioreactor" is sometimes abbreviated as "bioreactor," for example, in line 159. Check which one you want to use.
- In line 211, the appendix number is missing: "Appendix ??."
- The table in line 315 has no caption. Please check the source of the parameter values in the table to see if they were estimated or gathered from the literature.
- The authors conclude the article with a conclusion section but do not include a discussion section. It would be great if the authors could add a discussion section where they have a lot of results that should be discussed.

I didn't have particular concerns about the revised manuscript, which has already addressed my questions.
