miR-30b-5p Downregulation as a Predictive Biomarker of Coronary In-Stent Restenosis
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
The article titled miR-30b-50p downregulation as a predictive biomarker of ISR is well written and results were clearly demonstrated by the experiments. Though miR-30b-50p downregulation is observed in Weber et.al 2011 in patients with Coronary artery disease, interesting it's not observed in non-ISR patients. This study carried with a limited number of patients ( n=55), results clearly led to potential miR-30b-50P as a marker to predict ISR, as authors mentioned larger studies were needed for clinical translation. I recommend the current version of the article for publication.
Reviewer 2 Report
The authors examine a highly interesting and relevant topic on instent restenosis according to PCI and DES. This is an important field of research and the investigation to estimate the Progrose and the therapy derived from it is essential. In selected cases, Mittesl miRNA could become an important building block in everyday clinical practice. The work is laborious and the methods well chosen. Due to the small number of cases in RCA and RCX, larger case numbers should be aimed for in a further investigation. Overall a successful paper.
