Olive Oil Dregs as a Novel Source of Natural Antioxidants: Extraction Optimization towards a Sustainable Process
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
In this manuscript, the authors evaluated the potential usage of olive oil mill by-product. Overall, the manuscript is well-written and valuable. My minor comments are as follows:
- Page 1, line 15 or 17: Is it necessary to capitalize “Total Phenolic Content” or “Gallic Acid Equivalents”? If yes, you don’t have to correct it.
- Page 1, lines 27-28: The same question, three keywords are uppercased.
- Page 8, line 347-348: Can authors provide reference(s) to support their finding?
- Page 8, lines 357-359: The authors mentioned other authors’ result. Please provide reference(s).
- Page 8, line 359: OP stands for olive pomace, right? I can find it from the first page; however, it’s easy to get confused here.
- Page 8, lines 632-364: Chanioti and Tzia….. Please provide the reference.
- Page 9, line 398: I don’t not sure if 36.63 ± 0.11% is better than 36.63% ± 0.11.
- Page 10, line 453-454: Be careful the format.

Reviewer 2 Report
This manuscript is a great addition to the literature on Olive oil industry. and it's highly recoommended to be published after carefully revising the text for grammers and typos. Quality of Figures must be higher than presented currently, for instance figure 1 is poorly presented.
Tables must be presented as diagrams or bar graphs as much as possible.
