Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The manuscript addresses a topic of practical interest. I have some minor suggestions about the manuscript:

The sample is composed mostly of women, this could limit the generalization of the results. Please justify this information and include it as a limitation. It would be appropriate to include other possible limitations be subject to social desirability biases (use of self-reports).

Were possible differences in student exhaustion depending on degree explored? Please could you review this?

Expand the discussion on how the findings can be used to design preventive interventions. In addition, compares the results with similar studies conducted in other countries could provide a broader perspective on the topic.

Thanks

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The study is a scale development project creating a specialized scale about burnout for academic students. While burnout scales are available, the focus on academic students is worthwhile given the Agenda for Sustainable Development goals.

The references used are appropriate and I have no concerns to report.

The analyses used are appropriate. The correlations can be used to show concurrent validity. Test-retest reliability analysis might be a useful outcome for future studies. Tests of difference by demographics - age, degree level, discipline might also be useful outcomes for future studies.
