Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The author considers the force-driven motion (e.g. due to gravity) of a particle along a periodic topography. The Reynolds number is assumed small. A numerical approach is used that is similar to the boundary integral method, as I understand it, though perhaps there are small differences, as the author describes. In general, the work appears well done and is well organized. The numerical results are compared with results in the literature and capture the dynamics, including for some cases of nontrivial trajectories. I recommend publication.

Other remarks:

1)        Figure 1 caption: “Hear coordinate ….” -> Here coordinate ….

2)        Figures 3 and 4 indicate an analytical solution. The caption should make clear what this is? Is it a formula in the paper? Something from the literature, which is what I understand from the text? This should be clarified in the caption so there is no ambiguity.
