Limnological Review [1] (ISSN 2300-7575) was launched in 2001 by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland, and provides an important forum for the advancement of inland aquatic studies. From its inception, the journal was published in the open access model, sharing the MDPI mission of fostering open scientific exchange in all forms.
The journal was published by De Gruyter (Sciendo) from 2010, but the publications were unfortunately interrupted in 2022 when the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Dr. Dariusz Borowiak, passed away.
MDPI takes over the publication from the missing volume 22, continuing the publications on a quarterly basis. Volume 22 will be published shortly, by the end of April 2023, while volume 23 is planned to be released in June 2023. Manuscripts can be submitted to the journal via the MDPI submission system SuSy.
MDPI acquired the journal from the previous owner, the Polish Limnological Society, which remains perpetually affiliated with the journal. The members of the society receive a number of benefits for publishing in the journal and on other services.
A very warm welcome to the MDPI family, to all the Editorial Board members, as well as to the society members, authors and to all the researchers interested in the study of limnology. We look forward to working with you.
