This manucript demonstrated a low timing jitter noise floor between Ti:sapphire MLLs, with the omission of amplifiers. The amplitude of phase error signal is enough for feedback. This article is of relatively high quality on the whole, and it is acceptable to publish. Several sugestions are below:

1. As the authors wrote, the amplifiers are not needed in their scheme. I would like to know the lowest power reqirement for the mesurement.

2. In the manuscript, many techniques have been  mentioned, like Fast PZT, Timing Jitter Discrimination, Passive Methods of Noise Suppression. What is the main innovation of this article.

3. In Figure 7, it is better to give the integrated timing jitter like Figure 6.
